Topic: what is the correct protocol for nusing the site?
|
|
|
Someone has just asked in the Qpoint "whatever happened to that feature film?" Months ago someone had posted some reference pictures looking for something similar for a feature film.
The post was anonymous and it was not ever followed up. Sometimes readers of Qpoint spend maybe a half hour of their day replying in detail to some requests. Then we never hear the outcome.
I think 1. there should be no anonymous posts even if direct contact details are with held and 2. People should be encouraged to leave proper feed back afterwards.
Lastly,It gets tiresome when someone asks for something like a New England meadow in Autumn only to have production companies all over the globe all saying come here, come here, come here, we've got all that, when clearly they don't.
And very lastly, I love the new site and visit it every day.
keep up the good work.

Bill, You've made good points; We highly encourage anyone requesting information to follow up with the outcome of their query as a matter of course. Unfortunately, this doesn't happen often enough - and it's a complaint that we repeatedly hear in the bidding process (where the time invested can take the provider days of valuable time).
The anonymous post feature was a carefully considered addition to the site that was repeatedly requested by legitimate companies that simply would not post questions any other way (typically prior to the job awarding). When the feature is misused, it's equally frustrating, and again, we encourage the careful use of it.
Thanks for your thoughtful input,
Jason

Yes I see your point. Anonymous protects people from unsolicited emails!
But feed back would be good though.
Happy shooting.
